After some discussion, we have decided that emphasis and color contrast were used in the photo. The pumpkin was an example of emphasis because it brought viewer's focus to the object. The orange color on the black and white background was an example of color contrast because it made the orange pumpkin stand out. With the white background, the outline/shape of the object became sharper and more defined.
