Blog #9: Environmental Portrait Critique

The subject of the photo was a very focused and intense basketball player which was made evident through the use of an actiion shot, leading lines, and contrast. The setting was very still where it brought focus to the subject. The mood evoked by the photo was serious since the photographer shot the subejct in a focused state. Action is emphasized due to the contrast of the still background. Leading lines and contrast were the main elemtns. The basketball hoop and leading lines bring the focus to the hoop and the light background against the darker foreground brought focus to the subject and the ball.
