Composition D is the strongest because there is a sense of unity, the letters are easily noticeable, and each letter is unique. The balance in colors in composition D helps create unity. The photographer creates this unity within the series by making them all black and white as well as using buildings to form the letters.

Composition A is the weakest because there is no emphasis exhibited in the photo, poor arrangement, and weak contrast. The lack of a common theme in composition A shows that it was randomly composed. The photographer does not create unity within the series because they use a variety of different objects to form the letters.
