Blog #15: Leading Line

1. What is a leading line?

Leading line is a ray or suggestive path for the eye to follow the intended direction or subject of the photo.

2. How can it help your photography?

By using leading lines, the subject can be emphasized and certain qualities of the photo can be brought out. The artist can manipulate the leading lines so the photo contains a different subject focus and hence a different perspective of the photo.

3. Using one of your line (symmetrical/asymmetrical/radial/implied) photographs, in 2-3 sentences explain how you use leading line and why it helps make the photograph successful. Be specific and use photography vocabulary. (Can't just say it looks good/pretty/cute/fire/etc).
